Putting forth

Putting  forth is basically receiving what intelligence suggests. We have the mistaken idea that putting forth is doing something. First of all we should come to understand that we can not do anything. Putting forth is then that capacity to willingly receive the inner suggestion, or putting forth one's being to receive. How much can I give--or how much do I put forth?

I give not, nor do I receive; I rather put forth. Thus I am neither doer nor getter.

When I am in complete agreement with myself I put forth. When I am in agreement I am in total freedom. There is no getting, no doing, only putting forth.

Christ put forth. He was in agreement with X.

I have no work to do, nor do I have any task to perform. I only have putting forth. The conditioned mind is the active mind. The active mind is constantly trying to do, to get, to be, to manage. Such a mind is not capable of putting forth, nor agreeing with the inner suggestion.

The point is how much do I put forth?

The agreement with X is the total putting forth. Coming to such an agreement requires an empty mind. Listening is another word for agreeing. We should come to understand what it is we come to be in agreement with.

When we listen, X tells us what it wants. Putting forth then requires two functions, or rather two conditions by man. Putting forth is listening, plus following, thus the completion of putting forth.

The servant puts forth. The state of integration is that state wherein there is only putting forth. A good question to ask ourselves is am I putting forth or am I getting? There are moments of integration, and moments of disintegration. The disintegrating moments are those when we are trying to get.

The slave is doing what he is told to do. The servant serves. The slave can become the servant only through seeing his servitude. Seeing servitude is brought about when conscious choices are made.
