Love: understanding another as he is-agape.
Pity: Identifying with another as a victim.
Self-Pity: Telling oneself that one is a victim. Emotional masturbation.
Humility: Not knowing what ought to be, therefore not able to give advice.
Pride: Knowing what ought to be and needing to defend it.
